Sam earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University School of Law, where he was recognized as a Dean’s Scholar and received the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, magna cum laude, from LaGrange College.

Through his work with several law firms across West Georgia, Sam has gained experience in a wide range of legal matters including real estate transactions, estate planning, probate proceedings, civil litigation, and business disputes. His work has included drafting pleadings and discovery, preparing wills and revocable trusts, assisting with probate filings and estate administration, and supporting real estate closings and title matters.

In addition to his legal practice, Sam is the broker and owner of Shaw Realty, LLC, a boutique real estate brokerage serving Troup County and surrounding communities. His background in both law and real estate provides clients with a practical perspective when navigating property transactions, business matters, and contractual disputes.

Sam is actively involved in the LaGrange community and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Habitat for Humanity of Troup County, where he previously served as President and Treasurer. In that role, he has helped guide the organization’s mission of expanding access to safe and affordable housing throughout the region.

Outside of the office, Sam enjoys community involvement, Auburn football, and spending time with family and friends.
